چکیده

Statistical methodology is presented for the statistical analysis of nonlinear measurement error models. Our approach is to provide adjustments for the usual maximum likelihood es-timators, their standard errors and associated signiicance tests in order to account for the presence of measurement error in some of the covariates. We illustrate the technique with a mixed eeects Poisson regression model for recurrent event data applied to a randomized clinical trial for the prevention of skin tumors.

Semiparametric Regression Models for Repeated Events with Random E ects and Measurement Error

Statistical methodology is presented for the regression analysis of multiple events in the presence of random eeects and measurement error. Omitted covariates are modeled as random eeects. Our approach to parameter estimation and signiicance testing is to start with a naive model of semi-parametric Poisson process regression, and then to adjust for random eeects and any possible covariate measu...

THESIS FOR THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY Correlated random e ects models for clustered survival data

Frailty models are frequently used to analyse clustered survival data in medical contexts. The frailties, or random e ects, are used to model the association between individual survival times within clusters. Analysis of survival times of related individuals is typically complicated because follow up on an event type of interest is censored by events of secondary interest. Treating such competi...

Comparison of time to the event and nonlinear regression models in the analysis of germination data

Extended abstract   Introduction: Numerous studies are being carried out to reveal the effects of different treatments on the germination of seeds from various plants. The most commonly used method of analysis is the nonlinear regression which estimates germination parameters. Although the nonlinear regression has been performed based on different models, some serious problems in its structure...

Semi-parametric Quantile Regression for Analysing Continuous Longitudinal Responses

Recently, quantile regression (QR) models are often applied for longitudinal data analysis. When the distribution of responses seems to be skew and asymmetric due to outliers and heavy-tails, QR models may work suitably. In this paper, a semi-parametric quantile regression model is developed for analysing continuous longitudinal responses. The error term's distribution is assumed to be Asymmetr...

Marginal means/rates models for multiple type recurrent event data.

Recurrent events are frequently observed in biomedical studies, and often more than one type of event is of interest. Follow-up time may be censored due to loss to follow-up or administrative censoring. We propose a class of semi-parametric marginal means/rates models, with a general relative risk form, for assessing the effect of covariates on the censored event processes of interest. We formu...
